THE TEAM AT WALPOLE SIT DOWN WITH SHARON
The wonderful team at Walpole took the opportunity to talk to Sharon about our new rebrand, which we shared at the end of last year.
‘I wanted our branding to truly encapsulate my vision for Oliver Burns Studio, and to reflect the elegant, quietly luxurious spaces that we create.’
Read the full article to find out how the new identity highlights our core ethos, as well as her advice to other luxury brands undergoing the same process.

OUR SKI LUXE AESTHETIC
With people flocking to the slopes, its inspired us to collate some of our favourite ski chalet looks on our Pinterest board. The feeling of sunshine in the crisp mountain air, some much-needed spa time and a roaring log fire at the end of the day come to mind when thinking about the design of a luxurious Ski Chalet. Enjoy!

MAYFAIR DINING: BACCHANALIA
Getting out and about as a studio is very important for feeding our creative energy and our last toast of the year took place at Bacchanalia, Mayfair, where we celebrated the end of 2023 in its opulent surroundings. The theatrical décor in both the restaurant and the Private Members Bar is well worth a look first hand. The collection of sculpture ranges from stunning antiquities that are more than2,000 years old, to modern, Damian Hirst monumental statues and murals by Gary Myatt. We’re pleased to report that the service and food were equally as impressive.

EDWARD GATHERS VOGUE ICONS
Vogue’s March cover has dominated our feeds over the last week and is now referred to as the ‘Legendary’ cover, which marks the departure of Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful who sat at the helm of British Vogue for the past seven years. Requesting something ‘special’ for his farewell spread, he asked Booking Director, Rosie Vogel-Eades to bring together some of the most in-demand females of our time. Featuring40 inspirational women, from Miley Cyrus to Oprah, Rosie said ‘It’s testament to what people will do for Edward’.
At our brand shoot last year we witnessed just how much work goes on behind the scenes and we can only imagine the co-ordination involved in a shoot of such epic proportions. We salute the team for pulling off such a fantastic feat, which will be sure to go down in Vogue’s history.

MOTHERNATURE TAKES A SEAT AT APPLE’S BOARDROOM
Last year we celebrated our certification with Positive Luxury, an achievement that’s marked with the award of their iconic butterfly mark in recognition of our work to create a more sustainable future. With our mission of continuing to reduce our footprint, we like to keep abreast of other brands who are taking steps to reduce their environmental impact. As one of the biggest technology players, it was interesting to see Apple’s latest film on sustainability. Boasting some impressive stats so far, as well as ambitious targets for the not-so-distant future. It’s a bold move to publicly hold themselves accountable and we admire their transparency, hopefully it’s a move that will inspire others to follow suit.

SUPER LUXE BRANDED RESIDENCES
Super Luxe branded residences are not a new phenomenon, Bulgari, Versace and Armani, to name but a few, have been creating these spaces for years. That said, Savills reports a 160% increase in the last decade, which is set to double by 2030. Last year Dubai became the world leader for branded residences, where Binghatti have been leading the charge, with residences and places by Bugatti, Mercedes and Jacob & Co. There is no doubt that brand trust has played a key part in their success, but we all also agreed, the architecture and interior must be more than a homage to the brands core offering. We’ll be keeping an eye on these exciting developments, especially when visiting Dubai later this year.

The Middle East continues to provide a great source of inspiration for the studio, from a distinctive love of luxury, to impeccable detailing and elegant aesthetic. On our recent visit, we were keen to see The Lana, The Dorchester’s tenth hotel and their first in the middle east. Here we share our thoughts on what is becoming one of Dubai’s latest hotspots.

It is becoming increasingly important to be purpose-driven in business, leading by example and driving higher standards for people and nature. We are very proud to have been awarded the Butterfly Mark, a symbol of the Real Changemakers in luxury, last year. Powered by Positive Luxury, The Butterfly Mark is only ever awarded to brands that meet higher and higher standards for people and nature. This independent assessment is built on the foundation of international agreements, global frameworks and standards. The expansive assessment covers all areas of sustainability including our impact on climate, nature and water, how we treat those we work with as well as how responsibly and ethically we run our business. In line with our ethos of continuous improvement, we are delighted to be joined by Amy Nelson-Bennett, the CEO of Positive Luxury, to get her thoughts on leading the way for sustainability in the luxury sector.
