IWD: The Women Who Inspire Us

At Oliver Burns STUDIO, we are always striving for positive change, not only in business but also through our impact on the world around us. With this in mind, this International Women’s Day, we are taking a moment to stop and recognise the women who inspire us and who we are lucky

enough to work with.

Amy Wardell from Northacre

Amy Wardell, Head of Brand, Northacre

Amy joined Northacre in 2017, having previously worked for a leading super yacht brokerage house. As an integral part of the Northacre team, we were first introduced whilst collaborating on the House of Walpole project and felt instantly connected to her way of working and approach to the luxury market. Amy is a natural born leader who can command any room, and has the enviable ability of making everything look so easy.

Helen Brocklebank, Walpole

Helen Brocklebank, Chief Executive, Walpole

Helen joined Walpole after working with luxury brands and iconic publications such as Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE. In 2017 she was recognised as one of Harper’s Bazaar’s 150 Visionary Women, sitting alongside other inspirational figures such as Amal Clooney, Salma Hayek and Naomie Harris. Having watched Helen’s career through the years, we feel extremely honoured that we have a strong working partnership today. Over the past few years, through times of uncertainty, Helen has been a driving force in the luxury sector ensuring it has remained front of mind and protected. We are extremely thankful for Helen’s tireless work.

Oriona Robb

Oriona Robb, Stylist

Oriona Robb is a London-based stylist with an extensive portfolio of commercial, editorial and private clients. We have enlisted Oriona to work with us on a number of private and corporate clients, including House of Walpole. Oriona has a contagious positive energy that radiates when working on projects, making it a joy to work with her. Always in the know, she is a great advisor in the Fashion industry and has a wealth of knowledge behind her. Her nature is based on collaboration and helping others, regularly championing other women and supporting them in achieving their goals.

Aiveen Daly

Aiveen Daly, Textile Artist

Aiveen founded her studio in 2006 and is now one of London’s leading specialist textile artists. After being gifted a sewing machine at a young age, her passion for textiles was ignited and she went on to study at the London College of Fashion and Central St Martins. Her distinctive style oozes luxury and is always finished to the highest possible standard, with flawless delivery. Working with Aiveen is as equally calming and therapeutic as her textiles, listening to her talk through designs and watching her create pieces is so inspiring and we look forward to working together on many more projects.

Jo Eccles

Jo Eccles, Founder and Managing Director, Eccord

Jo has spent the last 16 years building Eccord to provide an award-winning search, acquisition and property management service to private clients, family offices and global companies. There is nothing about super-prime London property that Jo does not know, always full of interesting facts and figures. Recently named ‘a superstar woman in property’, Jo has rightly earned an impeccable reputation for discretion, honesty and shrewd insight into the prime central London property market.

Helen Amy Murray, Artist and Designer

Globally recognised for her sculptural works of art created with embroidery and hand sculpting, Helen’s East-London studio now employs 13 female-only artisans, creatives and managers. It was Helen who created the hand-sculpted headboard for House of Walpole, which was inspired by the pair of Plane trees that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert planted. A true artist, we love working with Helen and feel extremely inspired by her stunning work.
