London Craft Week has been gaining momentum since its inception in 2015. Each year, it brings together a diverse range of independent artisans, established brands and luxury houses, all united by a shared dedication to craftsmanship. Through a thoughtfully curated programme of workshops, exhibitions, talks and demonstrations, the event offers visitors the opportunity to witness the exquisite levels of detail found in everything from fashion to interiors.
This shared appreciation for craftsmanship reflects a broader shift within the luxury landscape, which values storytelling, deep levels of personalisation and preserving traditional techniques. At a time when personal connection and authenticity are increasingly sought after, craft has become a powerful way for brands to communicate their identity and foster deeper relationships with their audience.
With this in mind, some of our team spent the day discovering what this year’s London Craft Week had to offer. Here, we share our highlights and what we took away from a day filled with creativity, conversation and craft.

TEMPERLEY LONDON
Known for her beautiful bohemian aesthetic, Temperley London is a designer we often look to for inspiration. Having heard Alice speak on several occasions, most memorably at her Romo fabric launch during London Design Week, we are always captivated by her creative process.
At her beautiful Sloane Street store, the space was filled with vision boards, sketchbooks and charming paper maquettes, giving visitors an intimate view of the making behind her signature designs.

LOUIS VUITTON
Further along Sloane Street, we joined Louis Vuitton for a live demonstration wherein-house artists hand-painted bespoke designs onto customers’ luggage and accessories. The artists shared stories behind some of the most memorable commissions, many of which had played a role in deeply personal moments for their clients. One travel case, for instance, featured a postcard-style illustration of a client’s favourite holiday spot in Devon. These pieces become more than accessories, they become heirlooms with memories, passed down through generations.

ASPREY LONDON
At Asprey, we were treated to a private tour of some of their most iconic pieces, from the Asprey Gorilla Safe and Four Seasons Collection to limited edition Absinthe Cocktail Cabinet and exquisitely detailed marquetry humidors. The highlight was watching their master engraver meticulously craft an exquisite crystal glass using the centuries-old fixed diamond wheel technique, a demonstration that showcases their commitment to preserving traditional artistry.

ROLLS-ROYCE
Rolls-Royce is well known for its high level of client personalisation and bespoke offerings, and for London Craft Week, they invited guests into their stunning showroom to showcase the artistry woven into their vehicles. Dedicated to the world of flora and fauna, the exhibition brought their craftsmanship to life through a triptych capturing a serene woodland scene, rendered in a blend of hand-painting, embroidery and exquisite marquetry.

SELFRIDGES
Sustainability took centre stage at Selfridges, where London Craft Week partnered with The Mills Fabrica to present a curated selection of innovative makers in their RESELFRIDGES accessories department. Many of the featured creators demonstrated how waste materials can be repurposed into beautiful, meaningful objects; merging purpose with creativity.

DOWNEY
To close the day, we attended an intimate event with Downey, a third-generation business with over 120 years of experience in fine printmaking. Known for fulfilling exceptional and often confidential commissions, Downey rarely open sits doors to the public. However, in celebration of London Craft Week, they welcomed a small group of peers from the luxury industry for a behind-the-scenes Q&A. The discussion explored how they blend traditional printing techniques with emerging technologies, while also sharing fascinating anecdotes from past generations and the inspirations behind their beautiful artistry today.
