2026 SPEAR’S HOME & DESIGN INDICES
We are delighted that our Founder and Creative Director, Sharon Lillywhite, has once again been recognised in the 2026 Spear’s Home & Design Indices. The article on Spear's “The Best Interior Designers: Some Names to Know ” recognises Sharon as “an esteemed interior designer to some of the world’s wealthiest families, luxury brands, and property developers.” We are incredibly proud to see Sharon’s vision and dedication celebrated on such a prestigious platform.

LONDON DESIGN WEEK
Earlier this month, we joined the rest of the design world at the annual London Design Week at Chelsea Harbour, venturing beyond the studio to explore the latest collections from some of our favourite suppliers and craftspeople. With a fresh influx of beautiful samples already finding their way into the drawers of our sample library, and weaving inspiration into our project concepts, the trip proved, as always, well worth it.
It wouldn’t be Design Week without calling out a few new collections! First up was Arte, where we spotted two standouts: Éclosion, a delicate hand-embroidered botanical scene, and Galon, a rich velvet jacquard inspired by classic French sofas. Another beautifully neutral collection was Savage Grace by thesign, with Rumi catching the eye for its shimmering, geometric take on feathers. Hardware is always worth keeping an eye on for projects, so it was good to see Courtyard Architectural Hardware among the exhibitors – a timely reminder of the finishing touches that bring a space together.
The visit also gave us the opportunity to attend Creating Calm: Designing for Wellness at Six Senses, The Whiteley London, a thoughtful conversation led by Hamish Kilburn, with insights from Luca Ferraro of AvroKO and Patrick Watson of Heathfield & Co. The talk explored how considered lighting has helped transform the iconic Whiteley building, while creating a sense of calm within the hustle and bustle of the city.

SHARON IN THE HOT SEAT
Sharon was delighted to be put in the hot seat for two inspiring panel discussions this month, including the LMH Spring Lunch and The Select. Both panels explored the evolving world of luxury and offered Sharon the chance to share her thoughts on how these changes are shaping our work in the studio, as well as our Thoughtful Luxury ethos. Thanks to Sharon’s co-panellists Victoria Garrett (Savills) and Miriam Ciantar (Baroque & Rose), as well as the wonderful Jemma Lester (Luxury Marketing House), for hosting the LMH Spring Lunch, and to renowned luxury stylist and tastemaker, Oriona Robb, for a thoughtful discussion with Mo Mohsenin (The Select).
OLIVER BURNS STUDIO X MODUSBPCM
We are thrilled to announce the appointment of ModusBPCM as our new PR agency. We’re excited to begin collaborating on a series of new activations, with plans already well underway. Do keep an eye out as we reveal more soon - it promises to be rather good, if we do say so ourselves!

GOLDMAN SACHS AI FOR GROWTH EVENT
Sharon joined her fellow Goldman Sachs alumni for the AI for Growth event in Birmingham. The day featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Rishi Sunak, Anthony Gutman, and Asahi Pompey, offering insight on how AI can enhance business processes. AI isn’t here to replace the curiosity, creativity, and craft that define us, but to give more time to the creative process. We’re excited to hear Sharon’s key takeaways and put them into practice here in the studio.

OBS TEAM UPDATES
In the studio, we always look forward to International Women’s Day (not just because Sharon treats us to something sweet), but because it offers a moment to pause, recognise one another, celebrate our successes and appreciate the strength of our team.
Carrying that spirit forward, the design team has been in full swing, from site visits and client meetings to setting out bespoke lighting and preparing long-anticipated projects for launch. It’s full steam ahead and, as always, the team is doing a splendid job of bringing Oliver Burns Studio’s vision to life, we look forward to sharing more in due course!

As we race towards the end of the year, the recent Autumn Statement and the U.S. election result continue to dominate discussions. We are always tuned in to any global changes that impact the luxury sector and our home market and we have enjoyed speaking with colleagues across the luxury sphere to further discuss the wider impact. In this edition of OBS Musings, we’re taking a moment to share some lighter stories reaching our screens.

It is no surprise that the new LOEWE Lamps collection caught our eye; bringing together twenty-four artists, the collection explores the realms of materiality and design.

March is always a time for reflection as we take in the brighter days of Spring and the new launches across the luxury sphere. This month we have been musing over the launch of Saudi Arabia’s biggest airport concept and how they are merging design and AI in the most interesting way. The new concept car from Jaguar has certainly been a talking point alongside our thoughts on the new Cartier exhibition, Donatella’s departure and the rise of the Luxury Pop Up!
