THE MIDDLE EAST CONTINUES TO PROVIDE A GREAT SOURCE OF INSPIRATION FOR THE STUDIO, FROM A DISTINCTIVE LOVE OF LUXURY, TO IMPECCABLE DETAILING AND ELEGANT AESTHETIC. ON OUR RECENT VISIT, WE WERE KEEN TO SEE THE LANA, THE DORCHESTER’S TENTH HOTEL AND THEIR FIRST IN THE MIDDLE EAST. HERE WE SHARE OUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT IS BECOMING ONE OF DUBAI’S LATEST HOTSPOTS.
Situated in Marasi Bay Marina beside Downtown Dubai, The Lana introduces a new, elegantly pared-back concept to the city, focusing on delivering quiet luxury with a discreet experience.

The Dior Spa, perched on the 29th floor, is the first spa for the fashion house in the Middle East. The sophisticated interiors, with their neutral palette, seamlessly incorporate cutting-edge technology into the treatment rooms, where you feel as if you’re entering your own private suite. We love how the space instantly enhances your sense of well-being, evoking a sense of calm and comfort the moment you step through the doors.

The pièce de resistance perches at the top of The Lana, where the hotel’s rooftop is home to ‘High Society’, the poolside bar with the most breath taking views of Dubai. With the Burj Khalifa glistening on the skyline, this has to be one of our favourite places to enjoy a sundowner at golden hour.

With its booming economy and world-class infrastructure, Dubai has long been a hub for investment opportunities. It is becoming increasingly important to be purpose-driven in business, leading by example and driving higher standards for people and nature. We are very proud to have been awarded the Butterfly Mark, a symbol of the Real Changemakers in luxury, last year. Powered by Positive Luxury, The Butterfly Mark is only ever awarded to brands that meet higher and higher standards for people and nature. This independent assessment is built on the foundation of international agreements, global frameworks and standards. The expansive assessment covers all areas of sustainability including our impact on climate, nature and water, how we treat those we work with as well as how responsibly and ethically we run our business. In line with our ethos of continuous improvement, we are delighted to be joined by Amy Nelson-Bennett, the CEO of Positive Luxury, to get her thoughts on leading the way for sustainability in the luxury sector.
