Sharon's Highlights from Dubai
WITH ITS BOOMING ECONOMY AND WORLD-CLASS INFRASTRUCTURE, DUBAI HAS LONG BEEN A HUB FOR INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES. WITH THE CITY’S STRATEGIC LOCATION, TAX-FRIENDLY POLICIES AND COMMITMENT TO BEST-IN-CLASS HOSPITALITY AND ARCHITECTURE, IT IS NO SURPRISE THAT IT IS A LEADING CONTENDER FOR INDIVIDUALS LOOKING TO RELOCATE IN TIME OF SHIFTING GLOBAL POLITICS.
We have always drawn insight from across the luxury sphere and Dubai never fails to inspire as we look to promote the studio in this exciting market. Our Founder and Creative Director, Sharon Lillywhite, has just returned from her latest trip to Dubai, where she continued discussions with our international colleagues and peers in property and yachting, as well as attended the Dubai International Boat Show.

Beyond the Boat Show, Sharon continued to draw inspiration for our own hospitality projects with a return visit to The Dior Spa at The Lana, Gigi and not forgetting the unbeatable skyline backdrop at High Society. The attention to design details, atmosphere and service levels were impeccable.

Reflecting on her trip, Sharon shared her perspective:
“I’ve spent a lot of time in Dubai, yet every time I return, I feel even more enthused and excited. The city's energy is amazing, constantly evolving as more people and more people relocate here. It’s a market that never stands still, with incredible growth in such a short time. Connecting with peers across the property and yachting industries has been fantastic, as well as supporting fellow LPF members. With our next trip in the works, I’m already excited to come back and keep building on the work we’ve started here.”

It has been a busy and rewarding start to 2024 with the team working across a range of exciting super prime projects in both residential and hospitality. Read our latest OB Musings to hear our thoughts and opinions on the latest topics and themes hitting our news feed.

With the arrival of spring comes a renewed sense of energy. From the buzz of London Design Week and Sharon taking to the stage for panel discussions, to International Women’s Day celebrations, kick-off meetings with PR teams, and time spent on site, it’s been a busy but wonderful month.

At Oliver Burns Studio, we have a deep admiration for heritage properties. From their striking architectural details to the rich stories woven into their very foundations, we are continually inspired by the opportunity to work with these remarkable homes. Over the past 20 years, we have had the privilege of designing and restoring some exceptional period residences, from Grade I listed Nash townhouses to beautifully preserved Grade II* legacy buildings, each with its own unique story to tell.
