Sharon's Highlights from Dubai
WITH ITS BOOMING ECONOMY AND WORLD-CLASS INFRASTRUCTURE, DUBAI HAS LONG BEEN A HUB FOR INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES. WITH THE CITY’S STRATEGIC LOCATION, TAX-FRIENDLY POLICIES AND COMMITMENT TO BEST-IN-CLASS HOSPITALITY AND ARCHITECTURE, IT IS NO SURPRISE THAT IT IS A LEADING CONTENDER FOR INDIVIDUALS LOOKING TO RELOCATE IN TIME OF SHIFTING GLOBAL POLITICS.
We have always drawn insight from across the luxury sphere and Dubai never fails to inspire as we look to promote the studio in this exciting market. Our Founder and Creative Director, Sharon Lillywhite, has just returned from her latest trip to Dubai, where she continued discussions with our international colleagues and peers in property and yachting, as well as attended the Dubai International Boat Show.

Beyond the Boat Show, Sharon continued to draw inspiration for our own hospitality projects with a return visit to The Dior Spa at The Lana, Gigi and not forgetting the unbeatable skyline backdrop at High Society. The attention to design details, atmosphere and service levels were impeccable.

Reflecting on her trip, Sharon shared her perspective:
“I’ve spent a lot of time in Dubai, yet every time I return, I feel even more enthused and excited. The city's energy is amazing, constantly evolving as more people and more people relocate here. It’s a market that never stands still, with incredible growth in such a short time. Connecting with peers across the property and yachting industries has been fantastic, as well as supporting fellow LPF members. With our next trip in the works, I’m already excited to come back and keep building on the work we’ve started here.”

It is always an honour to design a family home where the clients ask for stylish and contemporary interiors that work alongside the needs of a young family.

At Oliver Burns Studio, fragrance is something that connects us all, whether it is the bespoke scent we carefully create for a project or the familiar aroma of a candle burning in the studio. This shared experience of scent holds extraordinary power because it can unlock deeply personal olfactory memories and transport us back to a place or time. As part of our ongoing monthly theme, ‘Designing for the Senses,’ we’re focusing on scent and its essential role in design, recognising smell as a fundamental sense that shapes the experience of a space. As the fragrance market continues to grow, we turned to one of our favourite brands, August & Piers , to learn more about their personal experiences building the brand and their approach to designing fragrance.
