The Circle | Early Spring Lunch: Conversations in Design and Architecture
We were delighted when The Circle invited our Founder and Creative Director, Sharon Lillywhite, to join a panel discussion in honour of Design Week. The event provided a platform for Sharon to engage in meaningful conversations with industry peers and share our unique approach to ultra prime design.
During the discussion, Sharon spoke about our ethos of ‘Thoughtful Luxury’, a defining principle that has shaped every aspect of our work for the past 20 years. More than just an aesthetic, this approach influences how we curate, collaborate and narrate.
Sharon emphasised that luxury extends beyond design; it is about creating an experience. Our designs are not only beautiful; they are also deeply considered, ensuring that each space is felt rather than formulaic. She highlighted the importance of a multi-sensory approach, where textures are layered, senses are engaged and atmosphere plays a crucial role in shaping a space that channels both comfort and elegance in equal measure.

One of the key takeaways from the discussion was our bespoke approach to design. Sharon explained that every project is started entirely from scratch and is often fully bespoke, designed to reflect each client’s lifestyle and ensure that their home becomes an extension of their personality. This meticulous attention to detail means that our work doesn’t focus on fleeting trends, instead we deliver timeless, elegant interiors that stand the test of time. A critical part of this process is our collaboration with the very best artisans, who bring our vision to life. Every piece we design tells a story, a true narrative that is threaded throughout a space.

As the conversation came to a close, Sharon reiterated that while the pursuit of beauty is always going to be present in design, it is the deeper, more thoughtful elements that define a space. The balance between aesthetic appeal, functionality and sensory experience is what makes a space feel uniquely personal.
Thanks as always to Jemma Lester and the team at The Circle, Luxury Marketing House for hosting such a fantastic event.

We worked with a number of British Designers on bespoke pieces for the House of Walpole project, a collaboration between ourselves, Northacre and Walpole. All designers worked within the brief of ‘a love letter to the Palace Gardens’, their work takes inspiration from nature which is woven throughout the apartment. Read our article below where we talk in more detail about these key pieces and how we worked with the iconic designers behind them.
